Quality and Purpose of Care
Ruby House is a safe, nurturing residential home for children
Ruby House is a safe, nurturing residential home for children and young people aged 7 to 17 who may face emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Our home offers a supportive, family-like environment where every child can feel valued, heard, and empowered.
Our mission is to provide bespoke care plans that prioritise emotional well-being,
educational success, and life skills development. We believe in using a person-centred
approach, focusing on strengths while addressing challenges with compassion
and understanding.
We implement therapeutic techniques to build secure, trusting relationships with the
children. Our staff undergo extensive training in trauma-informed care to support
emotional healing. Additionally, we utilise Cognitive Behavioural Therapy strategies in
day-to-day interactions to help young people reframe negative thought patterns
and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
We create tailored care plans that respect each child’s cultural, linguistic, and religious
background. We aim to support positive self-esteem and resilience, helping
our resident’s transition successfully into adulthood.
